HOW IT STARTED

JLS Video Solutions LLC was inspired to begin our journey with our videography and live streaming business, because of our passion for storytelling and capturing moments that matter. In COVID times we saw the critical demand for high-quality, real-time video live streaming to keep the corporate world operating with their team’s and customers. We also saw a growing demand for video content in an increasingly digital world, where people crave connection and authentic experiences. Combining our live streaming, video, and audio skills, with our passion for creativity, we set out on the mission to help individuals, businesses, and events share their stories and reach wider audiences in a, live, professional, impactful way. This business allows us to turn our love for visual media into a service that creates lasting memories and meaningful engagement.

About Jon

Jon Murray, owner of JLS Video Solutions, discovered his passion for photography, videography, and creativity in the 1990s. His journey began when he first got his hands on a camera: his father’s hand-me-down Kodak EKTRALITE 10 point-and-shoot and a 35mm Canon AE-1. Inspired by his father, Chuck Murray, who was, as Jon fondly recalls, “always behind the lens capturing family moments,” Jon grew up watching him document life using his 35mm Canon still camera, Super 8 film video camera, or later Sony VHS camcorders. Jon’s love for videography truly blossomed when he realized that photography only captures a millisecond of a moment, while video preserves the entire moment, complete with audio, stimulating both visual and auditory senses to fully bring a moment to life for the viewer.

As Jon was capturing life’s moments with video he has lived the remarkable progression of video and audio equipment from the 1990s to 2024, In the 1990s, bulky camcorders and analog tape formats like VHS and Hi8. Early 2000s, digital camcorders with MiniDV tapes and higher resolutions began to emerge. The 2010s saw a shift to HD and 4K resolution, with DSLR and mirrorless cameras offering professional-grade video capabilities. Audio equipment also evolved, transitioning from built-in mono microphones to advanced external digital recorders and multi-channel wireless setups. By 2024, compact, high-resolution 8K cameras with AI-driven features, seamless wireless connectivity, and studio-quality audio systems have become standard, empowering creators with unparalleled tools to capture and share their vision.
